Elizabeth Warren has been climbing her way up in the polls lately as support is gradually shifting away from Joe Biden.
During the LGBTQ town hall event, Warren took a moment to insult Christian men, suggesting that because of their beliefs they would never find a woman to marry.
According to The Daily Wire,
Morgan Cox, Chair of the Human Rights Campaign’s Board of Directors, asked Warren, “Let’s say you’re on the campaign trail and you’re approached—” Warren interrupted, “I have been.” Cox finished, “You have been, yes. And a supporter approaches you and says, ‘Senator, I’m old-fashioned, and my faith teaches me that marriage is between one man and one woman.’ What is your response?”
First, Warren assumed that only a man of faith would believe in Biblical values and that a woman of faith would not take Biblical injunctions seriously, as she replied, “Well, I’m going to assume it’s a guy who said that.” She continued, “And I’m gonna say, ‘Then just marry one woman.’”
As the crowd laughed and applauded, Warren jibed, “I’m cool with that.” The crowd gave a sustained ovation, prompting Warren, trying for one last zinger, to add bitingly, “Assuming you can find one.”
Doesn’t she realize that Christians make up the greatest majority of the country? Nearly 75% of the country identifies as Christian and these numbers will continue to climb.
Warren didn’t think once was enough so she insulted Christians again, “The hatefulness, frankly, always really shocked me. Especially for people of faith because I think the foundation is the worth of every single human being. And I get people may make decisions for themselves that are different than the decisions other people make, but by golly, those are decisions about you; they are not decisions that tell other people what they can and cannot do.”
She just demonstrated that she has no understanding of the Bible whatsoever.
The Bible is not merely some good book to direct me on how I can live a good life. The Bible is the word of God that tells us what man is to believe concerning God, and what duty God requires of man. These directives are not just for me, or you, they apply to everyone.
Jesus Christ reigns now from heaven and ALL authority (in heaven and on earth) has been given to him. Therefore, if he commands that one repent, you are obligated to do so no matter who you are, or whether or not you believe in him or accept him as being Lord.
You may choose to not accept the authority of the police department but that’s not going to stop him or her from giving you a ticket if you’re doing 75 in a 35 mph school zone. Whether or not something is true or false is no dependent upon your acceptance or denial of it. It is true because it is objectively true.
