Things got very heated during the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing on impeaching President Trump.
Corey Lewandowski made the Democrats look like imbeciles.
According to Fox News,
The House Judiciary Committee’s first hearing as part of its Trump impeachment investigation descended into chaos Tuesday as Democrats clashed with a combative Corey Lewandowski, trading insults and accusations with the former Trump campaign manager, who refused to answer many of their questions.
Lewandowski visibly frustrated committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., during the Democrat’s first question – when the witness, in an apparent effort to stall for time, repeatedly asked Nadler to point to the specific section in the Robert Mueller report related to his question. Lewandowski was following White House orders not to discuss confidential conversations with the president beyond what was already public in the former special counsel’s report.
In another conversation, Lewandowski rips into Eric Swalwell.
Lewandowski’s remarks came after Swalwell kept trying to force Lewandowski to read his own words on a screen in the room.
Swalwell: “Why don’t you want to read it, Mr. Lewandowski?”
Lewandowski: “I think you should afford me the same privilege you afforded Director Mueller.”
Swalwell: “Would you like to read it?”
Lewandowski: “No, you’re welcome to read it.”
Swalwell: “Are you ashamed of the words you wrote down?”
Lewandowski: “President Swalwell, I am very happy with what I’ve written, but you’re welcome to read it if you like.”
Lewandowski’s sharp comment which was directed at Swalwell mocked his attempted but failed presidential campaign. A campaign that performed so badly that it didn’t even register on the Real Clear Politics polling average.
Shortly after, Swalwell became the first candidate to drop out of the 2020 presidential race.
