First 100 Days: Niece Of MLK JR Weighs In

President Trump spoke a lot about the African American community during the campaign trail. He made quote a few promises including improving on race relations. And now, Dr. Albeda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr, is weighing in. She recently appeared on Fox & Friends Weekend and thinks “he’s been doing a great job so far”.

“President Trump gets an ‘A’ from me,” King said, explaining that she has met with Trump and several members of his team – including Dr. Ben Carson and Omarosa Manigault – to discuss the plight of African Americans in America.

She made sure to note several important initiatives that are clearly on the POTUS’s radar including ensuring historical black colleges and institutions are well-funded.

“He knows that we have to have good education and opportunities to compete,” King said. “He’s doing that with not just the African Americans and women, but, really, for all Americans.”
