Gowdy Under Fire For Praising FBI Spying Of The Trump Campaign – Then He Said THIS!

Trey Gowdy, who recently announced his retirement from Congress, is facing some serious backlash for praising the FBI and the Russian probe. Gowdy, in the very recent past, has shown signs of a possible ‘McCain-syndrome’ by showing more support to the opposition than the President.

His odd behavior has critics asking if someone, like Soros, has ‘gotten to’ the once revered politician.

According to Washington Examiner, Sean Hannity ripped into House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., for casting doubt on President Trump’s claims an FBI “spy” may have been embedded in his 2016 campaign for political purposes.

“Gowdy apparently doesn’t get it. He’s actually defending the FBI’s use of spies in its overall investigation into Russian collusion,” Hannity said during the opening of his show Wednesday evening.

As Reported By ABC News:

There is no evidence that the FBI planted a “spy” on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, a senior House Republican said Wednesday, contradicting Trump’s repeated insistence that the agency inserted a “spy for political reasons and to help Crooked Hillary win.”

Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Oversight Committee and a longtime Trump supporter, was briefed last week by the Justice Department and FBI following reports that investigators relied on a U.S. government informant in their probe of Russian election meddling.

“I am even more convinced that the FBI did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got and that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump,” Gowdy, a South Carolina Republican, told Fox News on Tuesday.

Do you think Gowdy has inhaled the swamp fumes for too long or was his comments possibly taken out of context? Let us know in the comments below.
