Illegal Alien Charged With Gruesome Crime – WE NEED THAT WALL!

Illegal immigrant Javier da Silva was charged with kidnapping and murder of Valerie Reyes. His court date has been postponed. According to federal court filings, the accused killer used a debit card belonging to Reyes to make a cash withdrawal.

A preliminary hearing on Da Silva’s case will be scheduled in coming days. He appeared briefly in federal court last month when he asked the Portuguese consulate to be informed of the criminal proceedings against him.

The Venezuelan man kidnapped Reyes tied her hands and feet with tape, murdered her, stuffed her body in a suitcase and dumped it on a Connecticut road.

New York Post reported:

He’s suspected in the kidnapping and death of his ex-girlfriend — but for the love of God, don’t send him to Venezuela!

The dual-citizenship-holding Queens man charged Tuesday with kidnapping Valerie Reyes — found dead and stuffed in a suitcase along a Connecticut road last week — asked the court to notify the Portuguese consulate of his arrest, but not the embassy of strife-rocked Venezuela.

“Not Venezuela, Portugal,” replied suspect Javier da Silva when asked in White Plains federal court whether he wanted the governments of the nations in which he holds dual-citizenship to be informed of his legal troubles.

Da Silva, 24, was arrested late Monday in connection to the death of former flame Reyes, whose body was found dumped near Greenwich, Conn., on Feb. 5…

…Da Silva — who, according to CBS 2-NY was living in the US illegally after overstaying a visa — was held without bail at the brief appearance.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Greenwich Police said that de Silva confessed to playing a role in the murder when he was questioned following his arrest, according to The Daily Mail.

He was described as being cooperative during his interview.

The investigation into Reyes’ death is ongoing as Capt. Berry said ‘there’s a lot of loose ends that need to be tied up’ during the conference.

De Silva was arrested in New York and the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan will reportedly handle the prosecution of the crime.

The victim predicted her killing, telling her mother on the phone that she feared she’d be killed on January 28, a day before she disappeared.
