Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, filled in for Sean Spicer at the latest White House briefing, answering questions about the Obamacare repeal and replacement. Sean Spicer was away on Naval Reserve duty. She is Spicer’s top deputy.
Coming on staging, she first announced that POTUS Trump had indeed just signed a $1.1 trillion spending bill to forgo a government shutdown and that the administration “expects changes” to be made to the “American Healthcare Act” when it goes to the Senate.
“I know the gospel pretty well. The CBO is not the gospel. They’ve been wrong before, they could certainly be wrong again,” she said.
Some a reporter for Politico chimed in and she had this to say: “Never use Politico for a source for your story,” she said, making sure to state that the opioid crisis is a “huge priority” for the president.
“We left on very good terms and wish her the very best,” said Sanders, adding that a “transition” of staffers is not uncommon after a new administration comes in.
Proud of daughter Sarah subbing at WH press briefing today. Her Dad thinks she crushed it! Hey I’m as unbiased as the media! pic.twitter.com/txXD10ocMf
