SNL’s skit mocking ‘The View’ is hilariously worth watching!

“Saturday Night Live” is still pumping out the comedy skits … at least they categorize them as comedy … and last night, “SNL” cast members did a good job portraying the giants of daytime TV, the talk show on ABC almost everyone hates, with the diva hostesses who hate almost everyone … yes, “The View.”

If there is indeed anyone out there in 2019 who watches “The View,” or “SNL” for that matter, they are almost assuredly lefties. But BPR covers the absurd comments and fighting from time to time and we found this worth watching for a laugh.

Liberal, anti-Trump darlings Joy Behar and Ana Navarro were played by Kat McKinnon and Melissa Villaseñor. RINO Meghan McCain’s role went to Aidy Bryant. Cecily Strong nailed the Abby Huntsman character. Emma Stone played Jenny McCarthy.

The Whoopi Goldberg character was played by Leslie Jones and she was spot on and worth a laugh or two.

Highlighting the recent tension between McCain and Behar, “Whoopi” used a squirt bottle to put down the fighting.

“Can I just say something as the princess of Arizona?” ‘McCain’, said. “There is a crisis at the border, and the border is right up in my Arizona, which was founded on sunburnt women selling turquoise jewelry, not rando Mexicans. And that’s not racist because my makeup artist is gay.”

“Okay. Okay.” interrupted ‘Behar.’ “This is the problem, you’re demonizing entire countries full of nice people.”

“I did not say that,” McCain fired back. “Can you let me talk because it’s actually your job to listen to me.” That was actually the gist of a tense exchange between the two earlier in the week.

At this point in the skit, it appeared Behar and McCain would stand up and go at it, but Goldberg cooled it all down with a squirt bottle, saying, “Stop it. We not going to do this. This is “The View.” We are five best friends with nothing in common.”
