Superbowl Viewers to Get a YUGE Dose of Trump This Year

There is good news for CBS and their airing of the Super Bowl LIII this year. Rather than boycott the game (which some may have thought the POTUS would do) the Commander-in-Chief is actually going to give the network a HUGE BOOST in ratings.

Meaning the network, the Superbowl, and any vendors can thank Trump for this season’s profits. Will they? nah…

President Donald Trump has a message for the New England Patriots before the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Asked by the Daily Caller for his message to the team before the big game, Trump said Monday, “I think they’re going to do great. They’ll do good. They’ll do good.”

According to The Daily Caller, the Patriots have long been one of the president’s favorite NFL teams. Before becoming president, Trump regularly spent time on the sidelines of the team and in the box with his friend, team owner Bob Kraft. Tom Brady was photographed in 2016 with a Trump ‘Make America Great Again’ hat in his locker

When asked about the red “Make America Great Again” hat spotted in his locker:

“[Trump] sent it to me via [Robert Kraft]. I’ve know him since 2002 when I judged one of his beauty pageants. Imagine that, I was a judge at a Miss USA pageant in 2002. So, I’ve know him for a long time and he always gives me a call on different types of motivational speeches at different times.”

Super Bowl LII attracted the fewest viewers since 98.7 million watched the Steelers edge the Cardinals in 2009. The NFL’s regular season games in 2017 had a 9.7 percent drop in viewership from 2016, which itself saw an eight percent drop from the previous year.

According to NBC, the Philadelphia and Boston markets ranked second and third, respectively, in terms of Super Bowl LII’s local rating. The top market was Buffalo, with a 56.4 rating, while the market that hosted the game, Minneapolis-St. Paul, was fourth at 54.9 last year.

The left can’t seem to grasp the kind of pull the President has. Whatever pick-me-up the Superbowl receives this year the NFL can thank Trump.
