This U.S. City’s Racist Decision on How To Use $10 Million in Taxes Made From Marijuana Sales

With recreational use of marijuana in the state of Illinois starting in January, one city just north of Chicago has already voted how they plan to use the tax money that is generated from the sales of the drug.

Rather than doing something productive with it for the whole community, they’re only going to give it to the black community.

Evanston, Illinois has decided and announced that they will be using the taxed amount of 3% to go towards reparations for blacks.

I know slavery was a terrible thing. I understand. But here’s the thing no one is entitled to receiving anything for no matter what their ancestors did in the past. Everyone has experienced some sort of oppression throughout thousands of years of history. People need to stop living and dwelling in the past and move forward.

This may come as a shocker to some, but Americans really aren’t as racist as the media makes them out to be. The ones who are mostly racist today are the ones who are getting spoonfed lies through liberal media.

According to Yahoo News,

The tax is expected to generate between $500,000 and $750,000 annually for the reparations fund, which will be capped at $10 million over the next ten years.

The city’s lawmakers will meet next week to determine exactly how the fund will be distributed, but one idea being proposed is for the money to go towards things like skills training or financial assistance for down payments on a home in the area.

The fund will be available to all of the city’s black residents, rather than merely those who can prove they had an ancestor who was enslaved, as long as they can meet certain residency criteria.

The move comes amid a renewed national debate over whether the federal government should pay reparations to the descendants of former slaves.
