Aaron Hanlon, a professor at Colby College in Maine, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to debate the Ann Coulter debacle over Berkeley. Hanlon states that Coulter “does not meet the standards for speakers” that should be invited on campus and further stated that “colleges should make value judgments to block speakers they disagree with.”.
Hanlon said he was “very speech-permissive” but that colleges should be able to make judgement calls based on a speakers value…
Carlson asked Hanlon to name one speaker who was disallowed on campus due to a liberal viewpoint under that rule.
Carlson called that statement victim-shaming: “Why not burn their books? Why is it different?” he asked.
