Andrew Yang is known for making sure that he has a little fun while campaigning across the country. We’ve seen him dance, we’ve seen him skateboard, we’ve even seen him do some crowd surfing.
Now Yang took it up a notch and decided that he was going to spray whipped cream in the mouths of his supporters. However, his campaign manager was probably holding himself back a ton while he was doing it, but eventually jumped in to try and get him to stop. He was right in doing so because this is sure enough bad publicity.

Even when reading some of the comments you’ll see that even his supporters are pretty put off by this.
“Frat house optics?”
“He could offer me $10,000 a month and I still wouldn’t want him as president.”
“I’m definitely #YangGang but I admit this looks …strange.”
“Campaign manager is not pleased. “That’s enough, c’mon that’s enough.” He recognizes really bad optics. Cringe worthy.”
“His handler is so uncomfortable. ‘K we need to go now Mr. Yang this needs to not be happening anymore.’”
“I cannot say what this reminds me of in an open forum.”
“Joe [Biden]: I promise to be the creepiest candidate in the history of candidates. Yang: hold my beer.”
In the grand scheme of things, it really isn’t a big deal. It’s whipped cream being sprayed in someone’s mouth. However, it is a bit unsettling for someone who is supposed to be running for president to partake in such a childish activity.
But really it’s his policies that are going to keep him from getting elected, especially the $1000 per month universal basic income. He should have just written a story about this instead of preaching it like it’s going to be a reality. It would never work anyway. Sure you’d have more money every month but the cost of goods and services would also go up and eventually that extra money wouldn’t even matter because you’d be paying $100 for a loaf of bread.
