1998 Pelosi vs. 2019 Pelosi: Nancy’s Words Are Coming Back to Haunt Her

In 1998, when the Republican-controlled House of Representatives announced they were proceeding with an impeachment proceeding, Nancy Pelosi spoke up to condemn the Republicans for their unfair hatred of President Clinton.

Pelosi said, “Thank you. Today, the Republican majority is not judging the president with fairness, but impeaching him with a vengeance. In the investigation of the president, fundamental principles which Americans hold dear — privacy, fairness, checks and balances — have been seriously violated. And why?

Because we are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton. And until the Republicans free themselves of this hatred, our country will suffer.”

Wait a minute…isn’t this exactly what she and the rest of the Democrats are doing now?

Democrats are not judging the President with fairness. He has been cleared of any wrongdoing with Russia, with the Mueller investigation, and now the “bombshell” Ukrainian phone call with the country’s president.

They are hellbent on impeaching President Trump because they can’t accept that this is what America wants. The people voted for him and their blind hatred is so laser-focused on undoing what we as Americans have done that they see it as an act of vengeance.

Pelosi continued, “This is not about — So it’s not about Whitewater, it’s not about Travelgate, and it’s not about Filegate. It’s about sex. It’s about a punishment searching for a crime that doesn’t exist.”

A crime that doesn’t exist? You mean like everything I just mentioned?

In all seriousness, what are they even going to accuse the President of? He has already been cleared of multiple circumstances that the left has tried to pin on him. He was even cleared of the most recent circumstance which is the Ukrainian phone call less than 24 hours after Pelosi cited it as a reason for the impeachment. Even the Department of Justice said that they’re not even going to look into the matter.
