Arrogant Governor Make Audacious Claim About God and Vaccines

I cannot believe the audacity some people have to try and claim that they know what God wants.

There is a limit to this sort of knowledge, and it’s limited by what is revealed in scripture.

Nevertheless, the new Mayor of New York City, Kathy Hochul has presumed to know the mind of God and declared that God wants everyone to be vaccinated.

“Yes, I know you’re vaccinated, you’re the smart ones, but you know, there are people out there who aren’t listening to God and what God wants,” Hochul said at a Christian Cultural Center service. “You know, this, you know who they are.”

“I need you to be my apostles, I need you to go out and talk about it and say, we owe this to each other,” the Democrat continued. “We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another. And how do you show that love, but to care about each other enough to say, please get vaccinated because I love you. I want you to live.”

Loving one another does not consist of injecting your body with harmful substances that have been anecdotally proven to cause health problems, and forcing others to subject themselves to that sort of harm is not loving your neighbor. She’s just trying to prey on uneducated Christians.

First of all, the bible doesn’t explicitly mention anything about vaccines because vaccines didn’t exist at that time. Secondly, contrary to popular belief, the bible is not an instruction manual for everything in your life. There is no guidance on what you should eat for lunch or how hot your coffee should be for optimal enjoyment.

There are things that the bible does not address and that’s because that’s not the purpose of the bible. The bible is God’s plan of redemption throughout history culminating in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah.

Are there principles that can be gleaned from and applied today? Absolutely. But the command to love thy neighbor does not require vaccination. Period. Vaccinations are not settled science.

Notably, upstate New York radio host Bob Lonsberry pointedly commented, “So, when God wants to say something about vaccines, he has Democrats speak for him? Who does he go to when he wants to say something about abortion?”

He ABSOLUTELY nailed it! This is exactly what I was thinking when I read the headline for this story.
