Biden Asks Congress for Gas Tax Holiday, Here’s Why It’s a Bad Idea

This old man is just full of bad ideas. On the surface, you would maybe think that a gas tax holiday would be a good thing, right? Having the opportunity to freeze taxes sounds like a great thing. And I think that if we were going to actually get rid of taxes all together this would be a good thing.

However, that’s not the case. But this would only be a temporary thing that would save approximately 18 cents per gallon. I know that $0.18 per gallon would save quite a bit in the long run, but when you look at it let’s say you only get 10 gallons of gas on the fill up. That’s only going to save you $1.80 total on that tank of gas.

This of course is an effort to combat inflation but how exactly would this evening work? Well, the way that this would work is by printing another 10 billion dollars to offset the gas tax. Printing endless amounts of money is what got us into this predicament in the first place, well partially anyway, printing money combined with Joe Biden ending domestic oil production is what put us in this situation.

But I’m sure that liberals are chomping at the bit for this because they’re too dumb to realize that they’re going to have to pay for it in the long run. Just think about it. We got all of these stimulus checks back in 2020 and 2021 as well as the huge unemployment benefits and they didn’t give us very much money overall.

As a result, look at how much everything costs because of it. Groceries are up around 12%, gas prices have doubled, literally everything costs more today than back when we were getting that “free money”. I’ll guarantee you that you’ve already paid that money back through higher costs of goods and services.
