Since the Democrats are once again clamoring for gun regulation, you know it’s election season. It appears that they are only concerned about it during election years. I mean, they’ve got to talk about something, right? They also want something to make the Republicans appear worse than they are.
Their plan is to drive Republicans to vote against gun control legislation in order to make them appear terrible. They must strive to cover all aspects since, as things stand, there may not be an issue that would motivate some folks to vote against a Republican, so they must mention everything they can think of in order to get the most people to vote against them.
But, if you haven’t heard already, there was a shooting in Sacramento, California over the weekend. Take a look.

So being that it’s an election year and the fact that Democrats aren’t ones to let a tragedy go to waste, they are leveraging this incident to push gun control once again.
Here is what Biden said,
Today, America once again mourns for another community devastated by gun violence. In a single act in Sacramento, six individuals left dead and at least a dozen more injured. Families forever changed. Survivors left to heal wounds both visible and invisible.
I want to thank the first responders in Sacramento, and all those across the United States, who act every day to save lives. We know these lives were not the only lives impacted by gun violence last night. And we equally mourn for those victims and families who do not make national headlines.
But we must do more than mourn; we must act. That is why my Administration has taken historic executive action to implement my comprehensive gun crime reduction strategy — from standing up gun trafficking strike forces to helping cities across the country expand community violence interventions and hire more police officers for community policing.
We also continue to call on Congress to act. Ban ghost guns. Require background checks for all gun sales. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability. Pass my budget proposal, which would give cities more of the funding they need to fund the police and fund the crime prevention and intervention strategies that can make our cities safer. These are just a few of the steps Congress urgently needs to take to save lives.
Here’s the thing, which is still so obvious to everyone except Democrats…laws don’t stop criminals from breaking the law! It’s already a law that we aren’t allowed to shoot people, but does that stop criminals from doing it? Nope!
If you make “ghost guns” illegal, you’re still going to have them. Where do you think they come from in the first place? With all the crap pouring in from Mexico, do they really not thing weapons are making their way across as well? They’re willfully ignorant of that fact it seems. And they just want to make it even easier for them.
I guarantee you that if they pass gun control measures like this, it would not stop shootings like this from taking place.
Should I even speak on the matter of banning “assault weapons”? We don’t own any! We have semi-automatic weapons that we use for hunting, sport, and self-defense reasons. What he is calling assault weapons are not actually assault weapons.
I will say though, that the one thing I think is reasonable is requiring background checks for all gun sales. For example, I can sell a gun to a friend if I wanted to without running it through any FFL.
