Foul-mouthed talk show host Bill Maher took a jab at MSNBC and Rachel Maddow recently for their treatment of everything Ukranian related.
As you may be well aware of, Hunter Biden, which is Joe Biden’s son is under heavy scrutiny for some business done with Ukraine.
Democrats are treating it like it’s no big deal, but there are a couple of reasons why they’re treating it that way.
First of all, it’s because he’s a Democrat. Secondly, he’s Joe Biden’s son and the Dems are favoring Biden for the Democratic candidate in 2020 and they wouldn’t want to do anything to jeopardize his chances at getting the nomination.
But most importantly, it’s because they’re ignoring what the big deal really is. It’s not that he got paid by Ukraine. The biggest issue is the fact that we have Joe Biden on a video claiming that he threatened to withhold money from Ukraine is they didn’t get rid of a prosecutor in their country who was investigating Hunter Biden.
Maher had the following to say and actually made a good point:
“You know what? The more I read about this- no, I don’t think he was doing something terrible in Ukraine, but it’s just so – why can’t politicians tell their f—–‘ kids, ‘Get a job, get a godd–n job!” This kid was paid $600,000 because his name is Biden by a gas company in Ukraine, this super corrupt country that just had a revolution to get rid of corruption. It just looks bad. And the Republicans are geniuses at muddying the waters. It’s all going to be about you did this in Ukraine, well, Joe Biden did this.”
Maher goes on to actually halfway back Donald Trump Jr., and halfway attack Donald Jr at the same time by saying, “It does sound like something Don Jr. would do,” Maher said. “And if Don Jr. did it, it would be all Rachel Maddow was talking about.“
