BOOM! Michigan Congress Acts Before Gretchen Whitmer Can

Michigan Governor, or as I like to call her, the Wicked Witch of the North, is single-handedly responsible for thousands of deaths.

Several elderly citizens in nursing homes died as a result of her policies.

The policy she put in place, which seems to be copied from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo resulted in thousands of vulnerable elderly patients at nursing homes to contract the virus thanks to the policy.

The policy stated:

If a discharge in accordance with section 5(a) or 4(b) of this part is not available, the hospital must transfer the resident to any alternate care facility with available bed capacity in accordance with the following protocol:

  1. Any alternate care facility within the state that has available bed capacity to receive the resident must accept a transfer authorized by this order.

Well, all of a sudden new cases are have ticked up very quickly and you know what that means don’t you? It’s time for the Democratic tyrants to gird up their loins and start ruling with a heavy hand once again.

I think that there are going to be a few governors who are going to slow their role a little bit though this time. But this time, the Michigan congress has already taken steps to prevent Whitmer from doing her worst this time around.

According to the Washington Examiner,

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will be stripped of emergency powers she used during the coronavirus pandemic after a 76-year-old law was repealed Wednesday.

The GOP-led state House followed the Senate’s lead on Wednesday in voting 60-48, largely along party lines, to support an Unlock Michigan petition seeking to eliminate the Emergency Powers of the Governor Act of 1945.

Whitmer, a Democrat, is unable to issue a veto after the state Supreme Court determined the law was unconstitutional. The repeal will not take effect until 91 days after the Legislature adjourns at the end of the year.
