The first glimpses into the confession note from Brian Laundrie who murdered Gabby Petito last year have been revealed.
As you know, Brian Laundrie led the nation on one of the biggest manhunts in recent times, at least the most publicized. Everyone was waiting for him to be found, even Dog the Bounty Hunter took the case. I think he did help, but ultimately it was someone else who discovered Brian’s body.
It was reported that he wrote a confession note to the murder, but it was never revealed what it said. Well, now we’re finally learning what was in the note.
The full note is reportedly eight pages long and all of it has not yet been made public, but here’s what we do have so far:
On the full page that we can see it reads as follows (and there are many grammatical errors, but I’ll leave them as they are written):
“She would wake in pain start her whole painful cycle again while furious that I was the one waking her. She wouldn’t let me try to cross the creek, thought like me that the fire would go out in her sleep and she’d freeze. I don’t know the extent of gabbys injurys only that she was in extreme pain. I ended her life, I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made, I panicked, I was in shock. But from the moment I decided, took away her pain, I knew I couldn’t go on without her.”
According to Fox News, other portions of the confession read: “I am sorry to my family. This is a shock to them as well [as] a terrible grief (sic).”
“Please do not make life harder for my family, they lost a son and a daughter and a daughter – the most wonderful girl in the world. Gabby I’m sorry.”
Hopefully, we’ll learn what the rest says, but it does make me curious why all of it wasn’t published. Maybe there was some information that isn’t really any of our business and was more personal to the families themselves that they don’t want released, which would be understandable.
