Cancel Culture Fail – Legendary Band Returns to Spotify After Leaving Over Joe Rogan

The cancel culture, equipped with an army of radical “wokies”, is working furiously to erode and undermine virtually every American institution and cultural value. If something doesn’t fit their whacked out narrative, they attack it. If the “wokies” don’t like it, they try to cancel it.

But Americans have figured out their scam. The woke cancel culture wants to erase any part of America’s proud history that they don’t like. Anyone who stands in the way of their barbaric assault on American culture gets cancelled.

Joe Rogan has exploded into one of the world’s most popular podcasts. Rogan produces one of the most listener-dominating podcasts on Spotify. However, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rogan outwardly questioned many of the failed policies and mandates.

Back in February, Rogan’s podcast triggered a media-induced moral panic. Left-wing crazies were coming unglued over Rogan’s comments about COVID-19. Often, Rogan would have special guests who contradicted much of the bureaucratic narrative the left wanted to be told.

For asking questions and presenting contradictory opinions, Rogan was labeled as “spreading misinformation.” He wasn’t. Rogan and his guests were simply trying to offer a fresh array of facts and medical opinions that happened to disagree with the left’s narrative.

So, what did the “wokies” on Spotify choose to do? Well, it wasn’t to engage in a productive debate about the facts. They screamed for Rogan to be, you got it, “CANCELLED!” But Spotify knew they had a popular person who simply shared alternative opinions and ideas.

In addition, the wildly successful Rogan was bringing Spotify a lot of money. Soon after rejecting the idea of cancelling their most popular podcaster, Spotify was hit with a wave of defections. These wokies wanted Rogan to be canceled, or they were “taking their toys and going home.”

Singer/songwriters such as Neil Young quit Spotify. A few others joined in afterwards, like Joni Mitchell. But then came the problem. These “wokies” cancel effort didn’t work. Rogan actually fed off the free advertising. He became more popular.

Young’s former bandmates, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash tried to join the effort to cancel Rogan as well. The band, known as Crosby, Stills, & Nash (with a sometimes Young added) issued a statement back in February.

The statement read: “Knowingly spreading disinformation during this global pandemic has deadly consequences. Until real action is taken to show that a concern for humanity must be balanced with commerce, we don’t want our music, or the music we made together, to be on the same platform.”

But like Neil Young’s temper tantrum, it didn’t work. No one quit listening to Joe Rogan, but apparently, the trio of bandmates started to see a reduction in their popularity. About the only thing this cancel culture effort achieved was for Spotify to pledge money to diversity efforts.

To appease the cancel culture crazies, CEO Daniel Ek donated $100 million to various diversity projects. It was a response to the odd reappearance of decades-old clips of Rogan using the n-word. Rogan’s use of the word was never derogatory, and was clearly taken out of context.

Nevertheless, Rogan took responsibility and apologized for what he said was “regretful and shameful.” Joe Rogan stood up to the pushback by the cancel culture wokies for speaking his mind. It’s his right. We need more Joe Rogan’s of the world to stand up to these whackos.
