Conservative activist Laura Loomer crashed a campaign event on Sunday for two Minneapolis area Muslim Democrats.
Minnesota state Rep. Ilhan Omar left, and Rashida Tlaib, a congressional candidate in Detroit held a joint campaign event at the Holy Land Deli in Minneapolis.
Rashida Tlaib will likely be America’s first female Palestinian and Muslim member of Congress.
We cannot allow American foreign aid to be used to violate the human rights of people of any race, nation, or ethnicity. I will not fund or stand by silently when there is injustice.
On Sunday Laura Loomer confronted both of the politicians about their attacks on Israel and their association with the far left anti-Semite Linda Sarsour. At one point in the video, Laura asks Ilhan why she married her brother.
According to News Week, Loomer said she is traveling the country “investigating” Muslim candidates for office. On Sunday Loomer continued to prod Omar and Tlaib, tweeting “I am the granddaughter of a Jewish man who was arrested by Nazis in Germany. I REFUSE to be silenced & sit back & allow for @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib to spew Jew-hatred,” she said. “They are anti-American and anti-Jewish.”
Omar has not provided a statement on the incident but posted a tweet Sunday thanking her supporters. “Thank you @RashidaTlaib and her team for joining us this weekend. Rashida knows that when we talk to voters about what is at stake, they turn out,” Omar said.
That was pretty much the same move Rep. Maxine Waters pulled on the pro-Trump reporter. Western Journal, reported:
Days after U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters appeared to endorse the harassment of Trump administration officials, one reporter announced she is pressing charges of assault against the California Democrat.
Pro-Trump investigative journalist Laura Loomer wrote a blog post this week describing how she “confronted” Waters over the controversial comments. Loomer included a video of the encounter, during which she now says she was assaulted three times.
