Today, there are a lot of crazy people roaming the streets. Most of us are protected from these insane individuals. News reports are the closest thing we have to this extreme degree of emotional insanity. We’re fortunate in that regard.
One employee of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts wasn’t as fortunate. One would think that working behind the counter at an auto parts store would be a pretty safe job. You occasionally run the risk of being robbed. However, businesses that offer car parts are probably not a high priority target.
But an O’Reilly’s employee found out otherwise. It’s still not clear what happened during a conversation she had with a customer, according to the reports. Whatever it was, the customer went crazy. The store employee was attacked by the customer, as caught on several cameras.
However, the store clerk didn’t just roll over and take the abuse. She fought back. More accurately, “she shot back.” Apparently, in self-defense, the store clerk grabbed a gun and shot the customer for attacking her.
The clerk also provided the disrespectful customer with an old-fashioned butt whooping. While the logistics are still unknown, audio from the surveillance video revealed something to do with “her mama.” The incident happened at the O’Reilly’s on 4347 West Third Street in Dayton, Ohio.

Dayton Police are investigating the shooting. No one has been charged. The Montgomery County Regional Dispatch reports that the female victim went to Miami Valley Hospital. She was taken to the hospital in a personal car.
By the time police arrived at the O’Reilly’s store, this woman had already left. Her injuries were reported to be non-life threatening, but her pride certainly must have been wounded. It’s not every day you act out against a store clerk and get your butt kicked and shot.
