Every now and then, I come across something bizarre and weird, such as an exorcism that went horribly wrong.
Personally, I’m not sure what to believe about modern-day exorcisms; they may or may not be valid. If they are genuine, I would think they are quite uncommon. I believe that exorcisms did occur in the past; I’m not sure how I feel about them now, but it’s something I’m researching in my spare time.
But honestly, seeing how horrible liberals are sometimes, it really makes me wonder if some of them aren’t demon possessed.
Regardless of whether or not they’re still legitimate exorcism in which someone is trying to cast out the demonic spirit who has possessed a human, the practice still takes place and one exorcism that took place late last year actually resulted in the death of a 3-year-old girl.
The exorcism took place at a small church in San Jose, California.
As The Daily Wire reported,
During the private ceremony involving Arely Naomi Proctor and her family members, she was reportedly held at her waist and neck in an attempt to get her to vomit the evil spirit out of her body.
Now, Proctor’s grandfather, who is also the pastor of the church, has admitted to his part in the attempted exorcism. “If you read the Bible, you’ll see that Jesus casts away demons and made sick people healthy again,” Pastor Rene Huezo of Iglesia Apostoles y Profetas said. “It’s not when I want to do it, it’s when God, in his will, wants to heal the person. The preacher is like an instrument of God; what we do is what God says.”
The ceremony allegedly went on for hours, resulting in severe injuries to the girl’s eyes, face, neck, and chest. The injuries caused by the attempted exorcism would be too much as Proctor “died of asphyxia due to suffocation,” according to the medical examiner, KTVU Fox 2 reported.
Here’s what I think is sad about this: I highly doubt that the 3-year-old girl was possessed by a demon. If I had to guess, I would think that she’s a 3-year-old who hasn’t been raised properly. Maybe she was spoiled and used to getting her way and when she didn’t, she would throw a fit and even get violent with hitting. Little kids hit, it’s not unusual. They’re learning to regulate their emotions and until they can effectively do that physical coping can and does take place.
