You’re familiar with the concept of the “strong arm” of the law, but have you ever heard of “the strong arm of the Governor”?
You are aware that we have had some tyrants in charge of blue states, but it seems as though they are all competing against one another in a game in which they aim to see who can be the most totalitarian and get away with it.
It’s hard to tell who’s winning this game, but Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer aka “The Wicked Witch of the North” just stepped up her game.
Whitmer is being challenged in the upcoming gubernatorial election and she apparently doesn’t like it. Of course, she wants to retain her throne and she’s prepared to do so by any means. This must be why the FBI just raided the home of her challenger and arrested him.
According to Detroit Metro Times,
The FBI arrested Republican gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley on Thursday and raided his home in Allendale.
Details of the arrest remained murky Thursday morning.
“I can confirm FBI agents from the Grand Rapids office executed an arrest and search warrant at Mr. Kelley’s residence in Allendale,” FBI spokeswoman Mara Schneider tells Metro Times.
…..
The arrest is just the latest drama in the Republican primary for governor. Five candidates, including one-time front-runner James Craig, were removed from the ballot last month for filing fraudulent signatures.
Kelley is among the five remaining candidates facing off in the August primary election.
Kelley rose in popularity among the far right after organizing an armed protest against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s COVID-19 restrictions at the state Capitol in 2020.
Seriously, these are the same tactics used in Russia…literally! Vladimir Putin literally did this to one of his opponents just a few years ago.
The easiest way to win an election is by being the only one on the ballot when it comes time to vote. That appears to be the tactic that Whitmer is trying to employ.
