Group Sex App Leaks Identifies Users in White House and Supreme Court

The internet and technology have become both a huge blessing as well as a terrible curse.

On the blessing side of things, we can communicate with anyone around the world at any time instantly, many people have built their wealth from the internet and work from home.

But on the curse side of things, there has been a lot of terrible things seen over the internet and acts performed because of the internet. But another thing that has happened once again is leaked information.

There is an app called “3Fun” which is a group sex app essentially for people seeking out multiple sex partners for threesomes.

A security audit was performed by Pen Test Partners and it was revealed that the app was MASSIVELY lenient in their cybersecurity when it comes to keeping their users’ information private.

The security audit reveals that there are MULTIPLE users who work in the White House as well as the Supreme Court.

Could you imagine one of the justices trying to have a threesome? Eww!

Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case, the birth year of the individual appears to be 1977.

Pen Test Partners made the effort to contact the company about the security problems,

We contacted 3fun about this on 1st July and asked them to fix the security flaws, as personal data was exposed.

They replied:

“Dear Alex, Thanks for your kindly reminding. We will fix the problems as soon as possible. Do you have any suggestion? Regards, The 3Fun Team”

The text was a little concerning: we hope it’s just poor use of English rather than us ‘reminding’ them of a security flaw that they already knew about!

They want our advice for fixing the issues? Unusual, but we gave them some free advice anyway as we’re nice. Including maybe taking the app down urgently whilst they fix stuff?

3fun took action fairly quickly and resolved the problem, but it’s a real shame that so much very personal data was exposed for so long.
