Some months back this passed by my radar and I laughed so when it popped up again I knew I wanted to share it.
In it, Dunham has created a political-protest-style “commercial” using the characters we most know and love. Though shot before the election last November it’s still pretty funny and still rings rather true.
His multiple characters start out by stating how they are “afraid” to speak out about Clinton then as they get the courage to do so they are, one-by-one, “eliminated” or silenced. Circling around the long standing rumor itself.
The New York Times reported that it was a poorly documented “hodgepodge of sometimes-crazed charges.” It helped perpetuate a conspiracy theory known as the “Clinton Body Count” about a list of associates Clinton was purported to have had killed. The deaths listed in the film have largely been discredited due to deliberate bias, weak circumstantial evidence, and coincidence.
