As I’m sure you’re already aware, homelessness is a massive problem in our country and the problem has only increased since the pandemic started.
More people became homeless as a result of the pandemic after being forced out of jobs and then not being able to pay their rent or mortgage as a result of no longer having that income.
Personally, I know what it’s like having been homeless for a short time. Thank God I wasn’t homeless very long, but it still happened and I can’t imagine what it’s like to be homeless for a long period of time.
I think it’s ridiculous that our cities where it is so rampant don’t do anything to remedy the situation. You see it more in Democrat-controlled cities than anywhere else.
Well, because of the growing problem, apparently someone is trying to do something about the problem of homelessness in certain cities, but not in a good way. Instead of helping them and providing for them or getting them on their feet, someone is putting them in the grave. It’ snot something that you hear about, but it looks like there is a serial killer who is murdering homeless people in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
According to the New York Post,
The NYPD and Washington, DC’s Metro Police Department released a joint statement announcing a lone gunman is wanted for sneaking up on sleeping vagrants and shooting them in both jurisdictions — including the two men attacked early Saturday in Soho.
News that a serial shooter was on the loose came shortly after a third homeless man was found dead in Manhattan.
Police are investigating if that man’s death is connected to the others, sources said. The vagrant was found with an apparent pelvis wound on the sidewalk Sunday night, sources told The Post.
Authorities said the first three confirmed attacks by the crazed gunman took place in the nation’s capital. On March 3, the suspect shot and wounded a male victim on the 1100 block of New York Avenue.
Five days later, the gunman shot another man on the 1700 block of H Street. The first two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Let’s hope that this man is captured before he can harm anyone else.
While homelessness is a problem that needs addressed and remedied, this is not the way to do it.
