The Queen is dead. Long live the King.
Thursday was an exceptionally tragic day not just for the United Kingdom before the entire world.
Queen Elizabeth was loved by many. She was the longest branding Monarch in British history and the second longest reigning monarch of all time. Chances are that if you’re reading this there has never been another ruler in the United Kingdom other than Queen Elizabeth. If you are over 70 years old then you were just a child when her father was on the throne. But now, for the first time in my life there is actually a king of England. It’s quite remarkable and an important time in history.
There are several things that take place now that King Charles has ascended to the throne, one of those things being how her own personal money is going to be distributed.
The wealth of the entire monarchy is approximately 88 billion dollars, but the queen herself was worth approximately 447 million dollars. So where is that 447 million dollars going to go?
According to the New York Post,
Prince Charles will have plenty of money once he becomes king so it is likely that the queen looked after all her other children and grandchildren — however badly they’ve behaved — in her will.
“It’s been widely reported that Andrew is the queen’s favorite son, and it’s likely she’s set aside some portion of her fortune for him,” said royal commentator Josh Rom. “While he wants to rehabilitate his image, it’s unlikely that will happen. His association with Jeffrey Epstein and his failure to cut ties with him, despite knowing about some of his crimes, is something that the public, for certain, won’t get over.”
“But there are [the queen’s] other children — Anne and Edward — as well as their children too. She’ll have wanted to look after all of them.”
Another interesting thing that’s going to be taking place as what many refer to as the game of homes. With King Charles on the throne, he will be living in the place of his choosing and giving his oldest son Prince William a choice of where he’s going to want to live.
According to some sources, Prince William and Kate will likely move into Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the entire world.
