We have faced problems at the Southern Border for a very long time now. The problems have only increased over the past couple of administrations.
Now with Biden in charge, he has already started getting rid of everything President Trump did to help secure our country, but with him getting rid of Trump’s policies and enacted some of his own, there isn’t anything that’s going to curtail the flood of migrant children bleeding into the country.
Within hours of assuming his role as the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden erased these successful guidelines with the swoosh of a pen. Even before Biden upended U.S. immigration policy, he sent out open arms innuendos from the moment he hit the presidential campaign trail.
As soon as Biden’s ascension to the White House became a reality, even before the official inauguration date, the wave of humanity flowing towards the U.S. border started. The problem has exploded in the administration’s face within weeks of its ill-fated decision.
The Biden administration, using COVID-19 as a convenient excuse, had to reopen migrant detention facilities along the border, housing locations that the Trump administration was chastised for using. Inhumane was the shouts from the progressive open border advocates.
Now they are deemed necessary holding facilities. But why the sudden shift in ideology? Is COVID-19 security the single reason that what was deemed horrific treatment of humans is now acceptable?
The problem isn’t COVID-19. Without an overwhelming tidal wave of undocumented illegal aliens walking across the border, the need for additional facilities would not exist. The simple fact that Biden put out a not-so-subtle invitation to come on in, is solely responsible for the eye-popping rise in unaccompanied minors at our border.
And the problem may not be, what we are going to do with the current problem. It’s here. The biggest question is how the Biden administration plans to address what is to be perceived an even larger wave of humanity knocking on the U.S. border door.
For one thing, Biden has stopped border wall construction and basically flung open the door to illegal entry into the U.S. If for a minute we think the numbers of undocumented minors is going to be the only issue, we are in for a startling surprise.
There are going to be more people attempting to gain entry into the U.S. far beyond the expected flood minors. Our border is and is going to continue to be flooded with all types of migrants aspiring to gain access to Biden’s free-access-to-all policy.
The hypocrisy of the progressive left on the minor detention facilities is a small part of this story. A crisis at the U.S./Mexico border isn’t brewing, it’s here. Former President Trump can say “I told you so.”
The hypocrisy over the border is astounding. However, as the Biden policies continue to ignite a new border crisis, hopefully Americans will awaken to the monumental mistake that our nation made in November 2020.
