Democratic hopeful in the 2020 presidential election, Beto O’Rourke announced that if he were to be elected as President of the United States, he will confiscate your guns.
He mentioned that he would enact universal background checks and red flag laws, but most importantly, he said that he would mandate a buy-back of “weapons of war.”
According to The Daily Wire,
O’Rourke made the remarks while campaigning in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday when he was asked by a reporter how he plans to address peoples’ fears that the government is going to come and take their semi-automatic firearms.
O’Rourke responded: “I want to be really clear, that’s exactly what we are going to do. Americans who own [semi-automatic firearms] will have to sell them to the government.”

Does he actually realize how many illegal weapons are in this country? Does he think that all those guns used to kill people every day in places like Chicago are legal firearms? Not a chance.
Also, who gets to define what a weapon of war actually is? because there is no standard for what a weapon of war is or isn’t. It’s just a buzz word that liberals like to use to try and take away your second amendment rights.
There is an absolutely arbitrary standard when it comes to the left trying to define what a “weapon of war” is.
Most automatically jump to an AK-47 or an AR-15…but why? It’s not a machine gun, nor is it an automatic weapon, it’s a semi-automatic rifle. Most guns are semi-automatic. A pistol can be semi-automatic, shotguns can be semi-automatic, a .22 rifle can be semi-automatic.
When we allow the left to open this box and draw an imaginary line for what guns we can’t have, it’s only a matter of time before they move that line a little further, and a little further, until ultimately we’ve lost our guns and the only people who will have guns are the government and criminals who never obey laws anyway.
