Looks like Mad Maxine didn’t get the memo about Dems trying to play it cool with the impeachment crap. The self-proclaimed head of the party spit out her outrageous rants out on Twitter setting off a backlash on her party.
According to Brightbart, Pelosi has previously said that “any discussion of impeachment” would be a “gift to Republicans” and claimed on Wednesday that impeachment is “not a priority” for Democrats.
But after Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to various campaign finance violations on Tuesday, Waters could not restrain herself, tweeting about impeachment hours after Pelosi signaled to Democrats to downplay the issue.
This reminds me of something Trump said back in June:
“Congratulations to Maxine Waters, whose crazy rants have made her, together with Nancy Pelosi, the unhinged FACE of the Democrat Party,” Trump tweeted. “Together, they will Make America Weak Again! But have no fear, America is now stronger than ever before, and I’m not going anywhere!”

Some Democratic representatives in safe seats, such as Maxine Waters of California and Al Green of Texas, have called for the president’s impeachment. But the idea has not gained traction among other House Democrats or challengers running for GOP seats, despite Steyer’s efforts.
The House has the constitutional power to impeach or formally charge an official. The Senate can then convict and remove the official from office.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which is dedicated to electing House Democrats, has not pushed for Trump’s impeachment and its strategy is unlikely to change. Asked about the issue Wednesday, a DCCC spokesman pointed to ads released by swing district candidates in states such as Virginia, North Carolina and Minnesota in recent days. Those ads highlighted issues such as health-care affordability and national security and did not mention impeachment.
and why were they backing away from impeachment talks? To not hurt their chances at the Primaries…. Looks like Mad Maxine messed that up for them!
