In excerpts from her memoir “Becoming” obtained by The Washington Post, Obama says she will “never forgive” Trump for the “xenophobic” claims that her husband, former President Obama, was not actually born in America.
“The whole thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” the former first lady writes. “But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.”
“What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.”
The whole “birther” conspiracy as it has been called, really isn’t a far-fetched idea. There is a fair amount of evidence that points toward Obama actually being from Kenya.
Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of information that seems to support the idea that he is from Kenya and honestly not a lot to support the idea that he’s from Hawaii.
President Trump made up his mind that we wasn’t just going to let what she said roll off of his shoulder.
The Daily Wire reported,
President Trump has elected not to let Michelle Obama’s criticism of him slide and decided to hit back, alleging she wrote that passage to generate controversy for more book sales.
The president then said he will “never forgive” President Obama for destroying the U.S. military and leaving him a mess to clean up.
President Trump’s told reporters, “I’ll give you a little controversy back, I’ll never forgive [Barack Obama] for what he did to our United States military. By not funding it properly, it was depleted. What he did to our military made this country very unsafe for you and you and you.”
