Finally, Americans across the country are being forced to either put up or shut it.
I don’t mean that in a good way because sadly, many people are losing their jobs because of the mandates.
Some people are quitting, some are being terminated. Neither one is an ideal situation.
However, some people are taking matters into their own hands in a different way and are fighting back. On Thursday, employees at General Electric (GE) walked out of work in protest.
According to WYFF News,
The walkout started about 10:45 a.m. Dozens of employees lined the street outside the plant. Some were holding signs and others waving the American flag.
Some drivers honked their horns as they drove by the protest.
The companywide mandate at GE falls in line with the Biden administration’s executive order that requires all federal contractors to be vaccinated.
“There’s going to be people out here who are vɑccinated. It’s just, we feel like the government has no business coming into our place of work, threatening our employment, threatening our employer,” said Neil Slater, an employee who was protesting.
“It should be my choice and my choice only. Between me and my doctor,” said Lane Stott, another employee, of the vɑccine. “I will lose my job if it comes to this, me taking this sh0t. Because I will not take it.”

While I agree that businesses should have the right to dictate what their employees must do in order to work there, I do believe that there are limitations and I believe that one of those limitations comes down to an individual’s personal health decisions. I don’t believe that a company has the right to demand someone be on birth control or tell them that they can’t have children, why would this be any different?
Let’s remember to pray for all these people affected by these mandates.
