Here we are nearly eight months out from the election in November and we still don’t have the answer that we’ve been asking for this entire time.
There may be some questions that we will never get answers to, but I am confident that we will get some of the answers that we are hoping for eventually. Some may come this year, some next year, some others years from now, but we’ll be able to find truth to some degree over time.
President Trump was recently asked during and interview about a number of things including whether or not he conceded.
“No, I never admitted defeat. We have a lot of things happening right now I think that that was an election, I don’t think, all you have to do is read the newspapers and see what’s coming out now. No, I’d never…the word is, concede. I have never conceded.”
There has been talk about President Trump gunning for Speaker of the House in 2024, but
“I have a good relationship with Kevin. Hopefully, we will do everything traditionally; but the election was a horrible, horrible thing for our country, and the world is watching and it’s been horrible. We were always known for free and fair elections, but it turns out they were not free and they weren’t fair. The world is watching. So I have seen talk about that but it’s not something that I’ve ever considered.”
He then went on to talk about former Vice President Mike Pence and his refusal to send the electoral votes back to the legislatures:
“I always liked Mike, and I am very disappointed that he didn’t send it back to the legislatures. When you have more votes than you have voters in some cases, and when you have the kinds of thing that were known…in many cases were known then but they’re certainly getting better and better known now. I was disappointed that he didn’t send it back. I felt he had the right to send it back. And he should have sent it back and that’s my opinion. And I think if he did, look at Pennsylvania now, look at Georgia, look at Arizona, and look at other, they’re all looking at what happened during that election. I think you would have found you might very well have a different president right now had he sent them back.”
And ultimately, when asked what message he has for Americans who have lost hope, President Trump said, “I tell them to stay tuned.”
