Sean Spicer made an amazing statement after a federal judge blocked POTUS Trump’s attempt to end funding to “sanctuary cities”. State that sanctuary cities in fact have “the blood of dead Americans on their hands”. Wow! very powerful!
“Today, the rule of law suffered another blow, as an unelected judge unilaterally rewrote immigration policy for our Nation,” the statement read. “This case is yet one more example of egregious overreach by a single, unelected district judge. Today’s ruling undermines faith in our legal system and raises serious questions about circuit shopping.”
On “America’s Newsroom” today, Spicer said the law is clear that the president has the authority to cut off funding from cities that do not cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“I think as it goes through the Supreme Court, they will rule that the president was well within his legal right to do this,” Spicer said. “I think anybody that’s got a basic understanding of the Constitution and a basic reading of U.S. code would come to the same conclusion.”
