“Storm Area 51” Creator Pulls The Plug On Event Amid Safety Concerns

Matty Roberts, the man who started the viral concept of storming Area 51 just a few months ago has decided that he is going to back out of the event.

The event is supposed to take place in less than 2 weeks, but it looks like nothing may even occur.

When Roberts planned the event as a joke he said, “We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Let’s see them aliens.”

At first, it really seemed as though many people took it seriously when it was intended to be a joke all along. So many people pledged to sign up for the event that it forced the United States government to issue a warning against anyone who may seriously attempt to cross into Area 51 without permission.

“[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces. … The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.”

So instead of storming the military compound, it was decided to hold a nice music event. However, that has all been canceled now as a failure to plan properly.

Roberts said, “Due to the lack of infrastructure, poor planning, risk management and blatant disregard for the safety of the expected 10,000+ AlienStock attendees, we decided to pull the plug on the festival. The permit holder (Connie West) was given multiple opportunities to provide us with the proof that things expected at this festival were in place. In fact, she refused to provide to us, as agreed upon, contracts, proof of deposits or any paper proof of anything.”

Will some people still show up? I believe that they will, maybe a few hundred anyway. I just hope to see some Naruto running going on if they do show up.
