Taylor Swift, the 28-year-old singer who dropped out of high school and later earned a GED, jumped into the political fray on Sunday, declaring that she opposes Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn.
While not surprising that a young person would lean liberal, Swift announced that she will back former Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen for the Senate seat. Bredesen, though, recently angered Democrats and rabid liberals by announcing that he would have supported Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination for the Supreme Court, declaring that there was no evidence to support last-minute sexual assault allegations against him.
The hardcore left MoveOn immediately pulled its support after Bredesen’s announcement. “We’re canceling a planned six-figure digital video ad expenditure for Phil Bredesen in Tennessee due to his Kavanaugh position. And similarly will be pulling all planned campaigning on behalf of Joe Manchin in West Virginia if he votes yes. Kavanaugh is unfit for the Court,” MoveOn.org wrote on Twitter, The Daily Wire Reported.
Swift has always had a decent Conservative fan base and I wonder if she will still have those fans moving forward?

President Donald Trump inserted himself Monday into the fallout from Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen, saying her surprise announcement changed his feelings about the superstar’s craft.
“Let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25% less now,” Trump said when asked about Swift’s Sunday evening endorsement of Bredesen over U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, the Republican nominee in the hotly contested race.
Trump also said Swift did not know anything about Blackburn, who the president is backing in the race.
“Marsha Blackburn is doing a very good job in Tennessee,” Trump said, contending that Blackburn is ahead in polls. Some new polls have shown Blackburn ahead, while others show the race remains a dead heat.
“She’s a tremendous woman,” Trump said of Blackburn. “I’m sure Taylor Swift doesn’t know anything about her.”
