We know it’s hard to imagine, but, shockingly, the newly named head of Planned Parenthood is a liar, in addition to the whole overseeing-a-genocide-of-unborn-babies thing.
On Thursday, Planned Parenthood President Dr. Leana Wen took to “The View” roundtable to dodge questions and tell blatant lies while shilling for the lucrative “nonprofit” she now manages.
After co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg obscenely worshipped Wen, their colleague Sunny Hostin pressed the new president about Planned Parenthood’s glaring lack of transparency.
“I know that Planned Parenthood provides service for women of color, for low income women, and that’s very noble. But I also know that Planned Parenthood provides more abortions, the most abortions than any other health care provider in the United States,” stated Hostin. “And in fact, in I think 2016, Planned Parenthood provided 328,348 abortions … that’s more than, well, women exams, pap tests, HPV vaccinations, Planned Parenthood doesn’t perform mammograms.”
“But Planned Parenthood, I don’t think is transparent about that. Planned Parenthood says it’s only 3 percent of their services,” Hostin said, highlighting a Washington Post 3-Pinocchio fact-check. “Why isn’t Planned Parenthood more transparent about its true position?” asked Hostin.
“Well, I disagree with this. Planned Parenthood just like every major medical organization that I’ve ever worked for follows the law and is transparent and makes clear what are the procedures that we perform and what services we perform, sidestepped Wen, adding the debunked claim: “Over 90 percent of the services performed are preventative care services.”
“But why not be transparent about that?” Hostin pushed back. “It seems to me that Planned Parenthood is trying to have it both ways.”
After Behar and Goldberg ran interference for Wen, Hostin willingly shifted her attention toward the half a billion taxpayer dollars funding the abortion giant. “There has been this issue about federal funding,” said Hostin.
“There are no federal taxpayer dollars that go towards abortion,” said Wen, adding that the organization simply gets “reimbursed” for non-abortion health services.
This is a lie, of course — the same as when former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards uttered it.
