President Trump has kept his word while in office and one of the things he vowed to do was drain the Swamp. When he made that vow, it caused the Beltway in Washington, DC to collectively shiver and it made Americans cheer.
Trump unloaded in a Fox segment and called these individuals very bad people. He’s blunt and to the point and I totally agree. The top three he mentions are no surprise: James Comey, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page. All from the FBI and all deeply involved in allegedly trying to oust Trump before and after he took office.
He also named Brennan, who is the former head of the CIA and inexplicably stills seems to have a top secret clearance as does Comey, Strzok, and Page. That shouldn’t be allowed if that is, in fact, the case. These were and still are to an extent incredibly powerful people who are villains in our midst. They have betrayed America.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said it is a “petty thing”:
“It’s kind of a sad commentary where for political reasons, this is kind of a petty way of retribution, I suppose, for speaking out against the president, which I think on the part of all of us, are borne out of genuine concerns about President Trump,” Clapper told CNN on Monday.
As Reported By The Washington Examiner:
Sanders rejected the idea that Trump was considering the move as a way to punish his political enemies, and said the issue was how people with a security clearance were abusing that privilege.
“The president is exploring these mechanisms to remove security clearances because they politicized and in some cases actually monetized their public service and their security clearances, and making baseless accusations of improper contact with Russia or being influenced by Russia against the president is extremely inappropriate,” Sanders said.
