President Donald Trump claimed Thursday morning that the media “wants so badly” for the U.S. to be in a “major confrontation with Russia,” evidenced, he suggested, by what he characterized as excessively negative coverage of his summit this week with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Politico reports.

“The Fake News Media wants so badly to see a major confrontation with Russia, even a confrontation that could lead to war. They are pushing so recklessly hard and hate the fact that I’ll probably have a good relationship with Putin. We are doing MUCH better than any other country!”- Trump tweeted.
Trump reinforced his warning on Twitter during an interview on CBS evening news. Also adding that he has confidence in the current DOJ and the future of those departments but very little in their past. The media has forgotten so quickly the mounding false claims and obvious bias from within the intelligence offices higher-ups. More specifically the DOJ from the Obama era.
Even prior to the outing of political bias of top FBI employees, like Strzok and Page, we shouldn’t be so quick to forget the ‘irrefutable’ but wrong intel provided from those same agencies in the past. Such as the ‘verified’ (then not verified) “evidence” of ‘weapons of mass destruction’ in Iraq during Bush Jr’s presidency. The point is, there is a reason to have pause and wait for true facts to arise before speculating and jumping to action.

“The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media. I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear proliferation, cyber attacks, trade, Ukraine, Middle East peace, North Korea and more,” Trump optimistically tweeted, trying to move beyond the media frenzy.
