WATCH: Biden’s Presser on Taliban and Afghanistan DID NOT Age Well

As we watch the news, we can see that the country of Afghanistan is in some serious trouble now.

In a very literal sense, terrorists have taken over the country after a war that we’ve been waging for almost 20 years.

This is hands down the greatest military failure from the United States since the Vietnam War, and this all has happened on Joe Biden’s watch.

Thousands are fleeing the country, both American soldiers, Afghani politicians, Afghanistan citizens…everyone, that is, if they can.

One reporter asked: Is the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan now inevitable?

Biden replied, “No, it is not. Because you have the Afghan troops have 300,000 well-equipped as well-equipped as any army in the world and an air force, against something like 75,000 Taliban. It is not inevitable.

That’s strike one.

Another reporter asked Biden, “Your own intelligence community has assessed that the Afghan government will likely collapse.

Biden’s replied, “That is not true.”

The reporter continued, “Could you please clarify what they have told you about whether or not that will happen or not?

Biden said again, “That is not true. They did not, they didn’t did not reach that conclusion.

The reporter said again, “So what is the level of confidence that they have, that it will not collapse?

Biden replied, “The Afghan government leadership has to come together. They clearly have the capacity to sustain the government in place.”

That’s strike two.

Another reporter asked, “Do you see any parallels between this withdrawal and what happened in Vietnam, with some people feeling [inaudible]?”

Biden’s interrupted her saying, “None whatsoever, Zero. What you had is, you had entire brigades breaking through the gates of our Embassy. Six, if I’m not mistaken. The Taliban is not the South, the North Vietnamese Army. They’re not remotely comparable, in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you’re going to see people being lifted off the roof of a Embassy of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.”

So the question now is where do they go from here? That the jury is still out, but the likelihood there is going to be Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.

That’s strike three.

You’re out, Joe. You failed.
