Finally, the moment that we’ve all been waiting for! Police video has finally been released of Paul Pelosi’s drunk driving incident and his arrest.
It’s too bad that we can’t actually see how the crash occurred, but at least we get to see him getting arrested. I would also say that it’s too bad that this is what he’s arrested for. I would like to have seen him arrested for some of the shady stock investments that he and Nasty Nancy have had over the years.
It’s been pretty remarkable that they’ve been able to make so much money, especially in companies that were timed just right in accordance with what sort of legislation was going to be passed in Congress.
It is a massive conflict of interest and just screams insider trading to me.
Following Pelosi’s DUI and crash, he was sentenced by a judge to serve five days in jail and three years of probation.
Is five days in jail the normal amount of time for someone to be locked up for a DUI? I honestly don’t know since it’s never happened to me before. I don’t expect that it ever will either because I don’t drink and drive. I barely even drink alcohol as is. When I do occasionally have some beer, it’s normally two beers. I stop well before I am intoxicated.
But Pelosi isn’t going to actually be spending any more time in jail. He’s already done his time because they are giving him credit for two days that he spent in jail and then two days for good behavior.
That’s absurd. Getting out for good behavior is not something that you get for such a short period of time served. Also, I highly doubt that he spent two days in jail. I imagine that since the crash occurred at night, they’re counting that as day one. Then since he was in the jail partially the next day, that’s day two. So in reality, I think he probably spent 6 hours in jail and they’re counting it as two days.
