WATCH: Shooting at “George Floyd Autonomous Zone” at Anniversary of His Death

If you want to know why anarchy and this sort of form of “self-governance” is a bad idea and doesn’t work, then all you’ve got to do is look at what happened this week in the “Free State of George Floyd” aka Minneapolis.

The “Free State of George Floyd” is a four-block area around the spot where George Floyd was killed by Derek Chauvin. I know some of you disagree with that assessment and you’re free to believe otherwise, I’m just stating this based on what was decided in court.

The left has hyped up this four-block square area as an “autonomous zone”. This is supposed to be their safe space. This is their area where they can be free to not worry about police or violence or anything like that.

The problem lies in that they completely forget that it’s not the police that cause most of the shootings or violence, it’s the people who live there who don’t know how to conduct themselves in a civil manner.

On the anniversary of George Floyd’s death, gunshots range out at this “safe space” of the Free State of George Floyd.

Philip Crowther, an international affiliate reporter for Associated Press GMS, was on-scene covering the anniversary of the Floyd arrest when the gunfire interrupted his reporting.

“BREAKING: shots appear to have been fired at George Floyd Square. Quiet now. People still sheltering in place,” Crowther posted early Tuesday afternoon. “We heard a few dozens sounds of what appear to have been shots fired on this block. Everyone sheltered in place. Lots of running. No apparent need for medics. Will update.”

Here’s another clip of the incident

It was reported that two people showed up at the local hospital with gunshot wounds. It’s almost certain that they came from this incident.

it’s really no surprise that this happened. Violent crime rates have increased since last year which saw a 21% increase in 2020 with no real signs of slowing down in 2021. People have just gone mad and have no regard for human life anymore.

The major wanted 9 minutes and 29 seconds of silence, but I think there was some sort of miscommunication. They probably thought the mayor said violence instead of silence.
