After having to wear these face diapers for the past year and a half, you think that people would be ecstatic about not having to wear them anymore and would be ready to throw them away and never look back.
I live in a red state and when I went to Lowe’s yesterday, I only saw three people wearing masks.
Now, I’m not going to hate on them for wearing one. I’m not going to go up to them and tell them they don’t have to wear it and do you know why? Because this is Ameria, they’re free to wear them if they want, I don’t know their story, and more importantly…it’s none of my business.
Live and let live.
But what I don’t understand is why people who have received their vaccinations are still wearing them.
When conservative filmmaker Ami Horowitz asked vaccinated New Yorkers why they were wearing face masks outdoors, many answered that it was either comforting or a precautionary measure. But wait till you hear what one guy had to say…
Proving that Fauci and his ilk knew exactly what they were doing with all those COVID restrictions, a masked man actually responded that he “shouldn’t be given the privilege to not wear a mask.”
One woman replied, “It feels weird not to.”
Another answered, “I just like it. I got used to it. I don’t mind wearing it.”
One guy actually told Horowitz he forgot he was wearing a mask while another masked fellow took what seemed like forever to answer the question — and then, probably wisely, replied, “No comment.”
Another woman replied to Horowitz that even though she’s vaccinated and outside, she feels compelled to stay masked up: “I feel like I have to wear it. I don’t know why, I just want to wear it.”
Yet another woman said since her friends are still wearing masks she believes she ought to as well.
“I feel like I won’t take off my mask until everybody does,” a different woman confessed.
A man in a tank top enjoying the pre-summer warmth told Horowitz that “there’s just a lot of anxieties with taking the mask off, you know, for the first time … it’s like a social anxiety at this point.”
Another guy said his desire was to “protect others, and there’s still a risk no matter what” and that continuing to wear a mask “sets a visual example.” He added that continuing to wear the mask is “a bit of a protest” and that “I shouldn’t be given the privilege to not wear a mask.”
To top it off, a woman who not only had COVID and then was double vaccinated told Horowitz that her desire to continue wearing a mask stems from being “so infuriated with people who didn’t wear a mask the whole year. It’s like a display of ‘I still care.'”
Confusing and conflicting regulations snowballed over the last year-and-a-quarter. Tony Fauci and then-surgeon general Dr. Jerome Adams first told us not to wear masks because they didn’t work — and because healthcare workers needed them. Then masks became mandatory. Next, Fauci suggested we wear multiple masks.
As Fauci and company’s false narrative unravels, it will be interesting to see how lefties respond. We suspect they’ll cling to their version of a baby blanket on their faces for as long as possible.
Dr. Fauci then: Me wearing a mask after vaccination is not "theater."
Dr. Fauci now: Yeah, it was theater. pic.twitter.com/ow5T53ZG7R
