The foundation of the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade was based on a key premise. That premise was that the federal government, through the U.S. Constitution, does not nor can provide anyone with the explicit right to have an abortion.
Abortion, and the laws and legal framework of surrounding it, are the responsibility of each individual state. In a nutshell, the federal government, legally, must stay out of the abortion debate unless the constitution is otherwise amended to allow it.
Is that stopping our current “idiot-in-chief” from violating such a clear-cut Supreme Court opinion? Nope, Joe Biden and his band of radical progressives in the Democrat Party think they can ignore whatever law doesn’t fit their pitiful agenda.
Numerous liberal politicians, especially those within the far-left progressive wing, have boldly said the court’s latest ruling on Roe v. Wade should be ignored. It’s like saying, “I don’t like the speed limit as posted, so I’m going to drive however fast I want.”
Laws don’t apply to these radical leftists, unless they like the law. Justice Alito wrote the majority opinion. In essence, a one sentence summary said, “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
That’s a pretty simple explanation of the consequences of overturning the hotly debated January 22, 1973, original ruling about abortion. A number of states already had trigger bans in place in the event that Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Most believe this step was established because many states felt the 1973 ruling should have been overturned years, even decades ago. Constitutionally speaking, it was a bad ruling. Once a case with Roe v. Wade at its core made it to the court, there was scant chance it would hold.
But pro-abortion radicals are already trying to figure out ways to sneak around state bans. Joe Biden’s White House is reportedly supporting one of these sneaky “workarounds”. His administration refused to rule out the idea of building abortion clinics on federal land.
Of course, these “workarounds” would target red states whose elected officials have legislated the people’s will to ban abortions. That is a blatant exhibition of Joe Biden and the radical liberals thumbing their noses at a U.S. Supreme Court ruling.
During a press session prior to a trip to Munich, Germany, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “We’re gonna continue to look at what other options we have.” It seems quite clear that Joe Biden is willing to defy a federal court ruling and individual state laws.
The “great unifier,” or so Joe Biden boasts, is nothing of the sort. Biden is the great divider, only rivaled by his previous boss, Barack Obama. They proclaim to inspire a unification of the country, but everything they do pits ideology against ideology, American against American.
This defiance of the U.S. Supreme Court’s correct decision concerning Roe v. Wade is just another example. Biden defies U.S. immigration law with his border policies. Protesters were allowed to intimidate Supreme Court Justices outside their homes, a federal violation.
These are typical liberal shenanigans. They do whatever they want. Radical protesters can assault police officers and burn down buildings. But conservative protesters, guilty of nothing more than trespassing, are insurrectionists. It’s a know-it-all sense of aristocratic defiance.
