White House Hangs Up on Senator After Calling for Help on One Crucial Matter

Senator Rick Scott recently called the White House to talk to Joe Biden about a prisoner who is being tortured while in prison.

Well, I guess Biden is too busy to listen to the people that he should be working with on a daily basis and doesn’t have time to deal with people being tortured. After all, he has more important things to worry about like what flavor ice cream to get, right?

Sen. Scott said that when he tried to call on Wednesday, the line went dead on the other end.

José Daniel Ferrer is a human rights activist and the leader of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU), one of the island nation’s most prominent opposition groups against the Communist Cuban regime.

Ferrer had his house arrest privileges revoked by the Communist government in August, forcing him to serve his four-year imprisonment on charges of kidnapping and assault.

When he was sentenced in 2019, the Cuban government accused Ferrer of being a counterrevolutionary funded by the U.S. government but claimed the arrest was not due to his political views.

Whether the torture was right or wrong and whether that person should be treated the way he’s being treated – and I would say that torture is never acceptable in my opinion – what message does it convey when the White House hangs up on you for being concerned about someone?

It doesn’t surprise me though. Don’t forget that this current regime (Biden, not Cuba) is one that doesn’t answer questions, it doesn’t listen to what people have to say, it just does what it wants and that’s all it was every going to do and all that it will ever do.

Our best chance at doing something is for Republicans to take back control over the House and the Senate so that we can rein in some of what Biden and the Democrats are doing.
